Instead of making big changes from day one, we will focus on small steps you can do at your own pace to get you too your goal.
ABOUT ME
I grew up in a house hold heavy in processed food. TV dinners, boxed meals and hamburger helper were a staple to our diet. Don't get me wrong my mom can make some awesome meals from scratch, but after working a full day and helping with homework it was easier to make a quick meal them prep and make dinner.
When I moved out I was a broke college student struggling to pay rent and would make sure all my bills were paid before my groceries were bought. As such most of my meals were dollar menu fast food items or cheap boxed food from the store. At the end of 2010 I was the heaviest I had ever been at 172, none of my clothes fit so I started to exercise at the free gym in my apartment, but nothing changed. In June of 2011 one of my best friends took me to an Herbalife Nutrition club, and so began my journey of learning about nutrition. I started an Herbalife Quickstart program in October of 2011 and lost 30 pounds in my first two months. Since then I have lost over 40 pounds and 40 inches and have started working towards toning and exercising regularly.
The most important thing I learned is that it takes time to establish new habits and you can't do it all at once. I didn't exercise my first year, instead I focused on learning to eat real, healthy food and balancing my nutrients, because you can't out train a bad diet! When you feed your body good, clean fuel it rewards you with more energy and better health! This year we will focus on cleaning up your diet, learning how to balance your macro-nutrients, exersising smarter not harder and working towards living a health active lifestyle.
We will be starting January 1st with a task a day so be ready! Start thinking about your goal and your habits and we'll see you in 2014!!!
